Ramesha Balasuriya has over 30 years of experience working in mid and senior level position within the media sector, and as a communications and social marketing specialist in numerous UN agencies and other international non-governmental and inter-governmental organizations. She has also worked in the private sector and worked as a freelance social marketing consultant to leading international advertising agencies. She has extensive experience working in Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Rome. Ramesha has designed and implemented many social marketing campaigns to raise awareness and change behavior in relation to issues such as violence against women, child marriage, human trafficking, anti-corruption, access to justice, entrepreneurship, peace building and others connected to governance and health issues with a focus on gender. A seasoned television producer/writer/director of documentaries and live productions, Ramesha is a team player with excellent financial, organizational and communication skills, and with demonstrated ability to successfully plan, implement and produce results.
